CITY LIFE CENTER
​City Kids 21st Century Community Learning Center After School Program

 Youth Development Specialist, 18-20 hrs per wk., $11 hr

Responsible for:
  • Helping youth in grades K-8 reach academic goals.
  • Work with program administrator and program staff to plan and implement each component of the extended learning program.
  • Actively engaging in both the planning and delivery of daily lessons and activities at the camp.
  • Monitor student needs and implement curriculum based on student needs.
  • Helping City Life Center achieve the goals set forth for the after school program.
  • Being a positive role model, motivating and leading youth to excel in every area of life.
  • Leading a variety of STEM, literacy, physical fitness, outdoor activities, games, etc.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and safe atmosphere to support participants’ overall experience.
  • Assisting with the care of the materials, cleaning the program environment, as well as other program-related tasks as directed.

Qualifications:
  • MUST LOVE KIDS
  • Driven by a sense of family, and a pursuit of excellence
  • High level of professionalism mixed with a sense of fun
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic individuals with a true love of working with kids are encouraged to apply
  • MUST BE friendly with a GREAT attitude and EXCELLENT work ethic
  • Outgoing personality with EXCELLENT interpersonal skills
  • Organized, task oriented, and deadline driven
  • Must be creative, adaptable, and willing to work positively with others, including co-counselors, parents, and participants
  • Experience working with children is a plus
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • All prospective staff will be required to undergo a background check.​​​​
